We are looking for someone to lead the operations of the business.

  • Pivotal role in ensuring smooth operation of warehouse and delivery processes and team deliverables including quality control
  • Key point of contact for purchasing and overall customer satisfaction
  • Maintaining existing business relationships based on our purpose

Supportive employment is a major factor in the reintegration journey of someone with lived experience of the justice system. Nearly half of the people released from prison today will re-offend and return to prison in less than 2 years.

By providing a superior service to our customers, we allow our team members to turn their lives around and avoid reoffending with the resultant social impact costs of around $500,000 per person.

Position accountabilities:

  • Ensuring quality of stock incoming and outgoing
  • Accurate forecasting and purchasing of required stock from multiple suppliers minimising excess
  • Close liaison with other staff & General Manager on customer issues & changes. Early warning of significant changes essential
  • Ensure all warehouse & food safety documentation is up to date and properly recorded
  • Managing warehouse crew from (Team Leader to packers) along with delivery drivers
  • Rostering of workers within budget targets
  • Undertake OHS checks
  • Contribute data to monthly reporting
  • Monitoring of operational costs while balancing business needs
  • Escalation point for unresolved issues at first point of contact
  • Ad-hoc office duties as required
  • Conduct yourself in an empathetic way towards all staff, living the F2W values
  • Demonstrate the F2W values by always acting in the best interests of F2W and working together across the business to create the best overall results and decisions.

Position Requirements:

1. Skills

  • Office Systems literate - Easyvend & Xero desirable
  • Analytical skills that allow report generation
  • Customer issue resolution skills including ability to use customer contact to strengthen relationship
  • People management skills
  • MUST have empathetic values
  • MUST be able to work with people of all levels and backgrounds
  • Self-motivated/Self starter

2. Experience

  • Logistics experience (back office)
  • Managed people previously
  • Has worked with people of diverse backgrounds previously (ex-offenders desirable)
  • Worked with a Not For Profit or social enterprise previously (desirable)
  • Experience in food distribution industry (desirable)
  • Experience in handling customer communication both verbally & by email
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple issues in parallel

3. Qualifications

  • Warehouse/logistics/management (desirable)

  • Ability to cope with repetitive tasks whilst maintaining accuracy
