  • Gross Salary Package (Base Salary + Superannuation + Leave Loading): $79,289 - $105,696

Position Overview

The International Project Coordinator – Quality of Care is responsible for supporting the implementation of international projects, focussed on increasing access to quality reproductive and sexual health services in the Indo Pacific region. This is achieved through capacity building partner organisations to provide high quality family planning services including clinical services, resource development and professional education.

The position is part of the International Programme team. The position may be required to travel to Pacific countries as part of project activities which may include after hours and weekend travel (pending travel restrictions). If travel is required: working and living in a developed country is very different from the environment you will experience working in countries in the Pacific, and candidates must be innovative, flexible, adaptable, resilient and patient.

Selection Criteria

Essential

  • Undergraduate degree in related field: clinical or public health or equivalent with public health experience
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the health sector in similar roles
  • Demonstrated strong project management skills and experience
  • Experience working on health projects in developing country settings
  • Development and implementation of government health facility guidelines and a strong background in health service planning
  • Experience managing multiple projects with competing demands and demonstrated flexibility in adapting effectively to change
  • Excellent IT, verbal and written communication skills and well-developed interpersonal, negotiating and relationship building skills
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a cross-cultural environment with awareness and sensitivity

Desirable

  • Ability to travel and work in the Pacific
  • Experience working on a DFAT funded project and working with UN agencies
  • Health professional with current clinical qualification (RN, RMW)
  • Skills, knowledge or experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights

Other requirements

  • A Criminal Record Check is required prior to commencement in the role
  • A NSW Working With Children Check is required prior to commencement in the role
  • Immunisation/vaccination requirements apply to this role
