Family Planning NSW (FPNSW) is the leading provider of reproductive and sexual health services in NSW. As an independent not-for-profit organisation we offer expert clinical care, information and advice for everybody in every family as well as education and training and evidence-based research to support doctors, nurses and other professionals.

About the role

Family Planning NSW is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Services to lead the internal Human Resource, Industrial Relations and IT function. The position reports to the CEO and provides strategic and operational leadership to FPNSW.

The key objective of the role requires highly developed project management skills, interpersonal and communication skills, the capacity for innovation and change, and the ability to develop and foster a consultative approach.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources (or related discipline) with minimum of 5 years Human Resources work experience at a senior level.
  • Postgraduate qualifications relevant to the role or willingness to obtain
  • Sound knowledge of Australian employment law including Industrial Relations and Occupational Health and Safety legislation
  • Superior people management skills, including performance management, relationship building and negotiation skills
  • Eligibility for membership of Australian HR Institute

Key Essential skills:

  1. Experience in mix of strategic and ‘hands on’ generalist role across all HR functions including recruitment, development, policies, performance, remuneration and WH&S preferably in the health, NFP, government sectors
  2. Monitoring and review of HR policies and systems to ensure compliance with Family Planning NSW’ statutory obligations.
  3. Able to advise senior management on HR issues
  4. Demonstrated project management experience and Experience in management of corporate systems.
  5. Assist the CEO in providing Family Planning NSW Board with service information and correspondence in a timely and efficient manner.
