About Forensicare

Forensicare is the statutory agency responsible for the provision of adult forensic mental health services across Victoria.Forensic mental health is a specialist area within the mental health service system. The services provided by Forensicare address the needs of offenders experiencing mental health issues, the mental health sector, the justice sector and the general community.

About the Role

The Project Support Officer will support and facilitate the delivery of projects within Strategic Capital Works Development. The role involves working closely with key stakeholders both internally and externally in the development of all aspects of projects, including scope, cost, budget and funding, timing, construction and engagement and liaison with user groups and other external project stakeholders where applicable. This is an exciting & diverse opportunity that will accelerate your growth in project management.

Key duties:

  • Apply organisational frameworks to plan, guide and monitor projects and the work of the project in order to meet immediate & long-term objectives.
  • Develop and evaluate solutions with consideration for likely business impacts, developing contingency plans and ensuring stakeholders are actively engaged in the problem solving process.
  • Provide key support to the Senior Project Manager in the development, implementation and review of policies.
  • Develop and contribute to external communications regarding service and strategic development.
  • Create lasting relationships with stakeholder groups, and partners/stakeholders to broker shared solutions in new areas.
  • Prepare project briefs, reports, plans and recommendations as directed and supported by the Senior Project Manager.
  • Ability to negotiate with tact and diplomacy on challenging issues.
