ABOUT THE ROLE

Pedagogy and Practice Consultants are responsible for the provision of professional support, advice and training to Kindergartens and education and care services across Victoria.

Support is underpinned by the principles of social justice and inclusive practice to ensure respectful curriculum design, quality practice and good governance.

The Pedagogy and Practice Consultant's role is to facilitate the link between quality early and middle childhood education and care, the National Quality Framework and approved learning frameworks, particularly regarding culturally responsive and respectful practice.

YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Experience at Director, Coordinator or Educational Leader level.
  • Skills in translating theory into practice.
  • A well-developed understanding of the National Quality Framework including approved learning frameworks, regulations, the assessment and rating system and their contribution to quality service provision.
  • Coaching, mentoring and leading for change skills.
  • Ability to travel to early childhood services across Victoria.
