Women's Legal Service Victoria (“WLSV”) is committed to building a gender equitable country in which all women can exercise their rights to live free from violence and make informed choices about their relationships. WLSV is a not-for-profit organisation which has been providing free legal services to women since 1982. WLSV are a dedicated and diverse team of lawyers, advocates and educators working with and for women to achieve justice for women.

This pivotal role will lead WLSV’s all-women team in the implementation of the organisational strategy. Providing vision and guidance, the Chief Executive Officer will enable the WLSV team to achieve its ambitious objectives and maximise its social impact. Working collaboratively with the Board and Directors, you will build upon the strong reputation and excellent relationships of WLSV, to guide the growth and development of the organisation’s services, build sector capacity and advocate for systemic change.

An experienced and dynamic leader, you will demonstrate a commitment to and deep knowledge of feminist principles and values and be dedicated to building a gender equitable and just society. Agile and responsive to emerging opportunities, you will bring a balance of entrepreneurial flair and commercial nous to business growth and financial sustainability. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills are essential, and you will be a confident public speaker with a sophisticated approach to advocacy and sector reform. A kind, compassionate and nurturing leader who empowers a high performing team and creates an inclusive and positive workplace culture. You will have a tertiary degree in a relevant discipline, ideally law.
