About Us

Since its inception in 1983, the Eating Disorders Foundation of Victoria (EDV) primary role has been to guide, support and advocate for people whose lives have been impacted by an eating disorder. EDV is a passionate organisation, with an experienced and engaged Board that is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer to drive their strategic vision and growth. Recent increased government funding and acceleration of online services delivery has enabled EDV to extend their impact and reach, providing a sustainable base to continue building their programs, services and influence, to help impacted Victorians get the support they need into the future.

About the role

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead and motivate EDV’s dedicated staff and substantial team of volunteers to achieve their strategic objectives. With accountability for business performance and operational management, you will drive innovation and performance across current and new services. You will build strategic partnerships and play a key role in developing alliances across the Eating Disorders and Mental Health sector. Maintaining robust and purposeful relationships with government and other stakeholders, you will influence public policy and attract new revenue streams.

About you

A strategic and confident leader, you will have significant experience as a CEO or senior manager. With strong commercial and business management skills, you will demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities that have developed programs, services, revenue and partnerships. Strong presentation, communication and inter-personal skills are essential, you will be a relationship builder who creates and maintains strong networks. A knowledge of Eating Disorders and / or the mental health sector (and the policy environment) is desirable but not essential. A post-graduate qualification in business management would be highly regarded.
