South East Community Links (SECL) is the culmination of five decades of history and commitment, working across the south east of Melbourne to achieve better social and economic outcomes for people in our community. As a universal service provider, SECL delivers a wide range of programs and assistance to meet the needs of the community, including housing support, youth and family services, financial counselling and resettlement services for refugees and asylum seekers. SECL aims to strengthen their bridge to social and economic mobility and client outcomes in multiple areas of family stability, education, financial independence, employment, gender and race equality.

Reporting to the Board, the Chief Executive Officer will lead the growth and development of South East Community Links, building upon its exceptional reputation and further strengthening and enhancing the organisational performance and responsiveness to client and community needs. Respecting its foundations and values in community and social justice, the CEO will provide expert strategic advice and visionary leadership to drive operational excellence. Building strong and productive relationships you will seek out advocacy and funding opportunities with government, local businesses and philanthropic entities.

Entrepreneurial and innovative in approach, you will have a successful track record as a CEO or senior executive who has led strategic growth and sustainability within a for-purpose community business. With exceptional management and leadership skills, you will be adept at building capability and performance. A natural coach and facilitator, who inspires and motivates teams to deliver services, you will have overseen programs that are impactful and community focused. Skilled at fostering effective and productive relationships with the board, funders and other stakeholders, you will be a strong advocate and a confident spokesperson with the ability to promote the organisations values and vision.
