We are looking for compassionate and caring Support Workers for our Base Housing Collective at Frenchs Forest, Narraweena, Roseville & Hornsby.

Base Housing Collective is a new player reimagining supported independent living, empowered by Fighting Chance. At Base, housemates are free to live life on their own terms. Connection to community and transparency are key. Our innovative model is designed to put people living with a disability at the centre of decision making, providing them with the foundations and support they need to make their own future.

Our facilitated family governance approach ensures that true choice and control are prioritised with housemates and families, the true decision makers on how our homes are run with transparency and trust.

THE ROLE:

We are looking for Support Workers with compassion, commitment and values-driven to provide the highest level of quality care and support across our Base Housing Collective. Our current teams are located in Narraweena, Frenchs Forest, Roseville and Hornsby.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Delivering personalised support in the home and out in the community based on the needs and interest of the housemates
  • Assisting housemates to create healthy meals, with personal care and administering medications
  • Support housemates to engage and participate in the community and assist with medical appointments and outings
  • Enter case notes into the Client Management System

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

  • Experienced, professional with a positive and passionate approach to providing the highest level of support
  • Available shift include mornings, afternoons, awake, sleepovers and weekends
  • Be energetic, ambitious, and seeking to learn and grow in the role
  • A commitment to providing responsive, person-centred, and considerate care
  • Flexible and adaptive communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess or be willing to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check
  • Current First Aid & CPR (HLTAID003) Certificates
  • Fully Covid Vaccination including Booster
  • NSW Driver's Licence
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Experience with Behaviour Management - desirable but not essential
