Fighting Chance was founded in 2011 and has since gone on to create two social businesses, Avenue and Jigsaw. We have multiple locations over Sydney and are expanding to Brisbane in early 2020.

About the role

This is a newly created, full-time position at our HQ in Frenchs Forest. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer and responsible for developing, maintaining and upgrading our IT system to meet our changing business needs, while driving the organisation-wide adoption of technology to enhance our business efficiency/effectiveness, as well as our customer/employee experience.

Day to day priorities include:

  • Onboarding new team members
  • Managing and providing support for all our devices
  • Supporting the use of business applications and information systems
  • Managing and evolving our wired and wireless networks
  • Ensure optimal functioning of and support in the use of our AV system
  • Managing relationships with vendors

Skills and Personal Attributes

A relevant qualification and 5+ years organisational experience in the broad spectrum of responsibilities associated with developing and maintaining IT systems in a customer service environment.

  • Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative approach to problem-solving
  • Outstanding organisational skills and ability to work in a highly dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • A passion for (and/or experience with) working with people with disability
  • A proactive work ethic and willingness to jump in, collaborate and get any job done
  • Ability to work autonomously and self-motivate

Required to

  • Possess the right to work in Australia
  • Possess a current unrestricted NSW driver's license
  • Willing and able to use own car for work purposes
  • Possess a current satisfactory National Police Clearance Certificate and Working With Children check
  • Available and willing to work on weekends and evenings on occasion
