Long Day Care and Kindergarten service in Dandenong is looking for a Cook to work part time 3 and a half hours a day, 5 days a week. You will be cooking for 45 children a day preparing healthy nutritious meals (lunch and afternoon tea). Experience would be preferred but not necessary.

Applicants must have their Working with Children Check and Food Handling certificate.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: 

• A sound knowledge of planning for well-balanced and nutritious meals for young children.
• Ability to work in a flexible and co-operative team environment.
• The ability to communicate effectively with parents both verbally and through newsletters.
• The ability to incorporate cultural awareness to all children using the menu as a medium.
• Experience in working with food preparation and budgeting to provide for all areas of need.
• Current Food handling/Food supervisor training essential
• Current driver’s license, current police check and Working with Children Check
