We have two full-time roles available, working across our two locations.

Feather and Bone is a family-owned retail butchery and food business with a shop and production facility in Marrickville, Sydney. Our second shop opens in the eastern suburbs soon. We source award-winning produce from leading regenerative, local farms.

Our goal is to improve the food landscape and mitigate climate change by promoting sustainable and regeneratively-managed farms that build ecosystem health, biodiversity and vitality. We’re a small business with a big ambition.

Hours

8.00 am – 4.00 pm. Must be available to work weekends!

What you'll be doing

• Stocking and organising product display, assisting with stock rotation.
• Serving customers.
• Warming take away food products to order (sandwiches, soup, etc. prepped by our kitchen).
• Explaining key product features to customers - where products come from and how they’re produced.
• Offering cooking advice to customers.
• Keeping the shop tidy and clean.
• Supporting the Retail Manager and Butcher.
• Online order fulfilment, packing and other duties as required.
• Working in compliance with food health and safety procedures.

What you need to be successful in this role

• Experience working with and presenting food – ideally meat and poultry.
• Great customer service and communication skills.
• Experience working in a shop, restaurant or customer-facing food business.
• High attention to detail.
• Good computer literacy and skills
• Punctual, reliable, energetic, efficient.
• A passion for purpose-grounded work
