We’re looking for driver who loves dealing with customers, works well with a team, has an eye for detail and who wants to work with some of the best meat, poultry and produce in Australia. Our delivery drivers are important brand ambassadors. Every time they head out on the road in a Feather and Bone van they are representing our business to the world and helping to deliver a great experience for every customer they deliver to – whether it’s a retail or a wholesale customer.

HOURS

Three to four days with the option of moving to full time. Tuesday to Saturday, starting each day from our Marrickville butchery. Variable start times – between 7.00 am to 9.00 am. Occasional Saturdays.

MAIN DUTIES

  • Timely and accurate delivery of retail and wholesale orders to restaurants and private homes across Sydney.
  • Use of delivery app to plan routes and collect POD.
  • Careful packing to ensure efficient unloading and avoid breakages or damage to orders.
  • Consistent monitoring of safe product temperatures while handling and transporting orders.
  • Keeping delivery vehicles clean and presentable and compliant with Food Safety Standards.
  • Maintaining a schedule of vehicle maintenance.
  • Working closely with the Operations Manager to ensure smooth daily delivery runs.
  • Collaborate with and support production and retail staff
  • Work in accordance with Feather and Bone core principles of ethical business practice, minimising waste and promoting sustainability.

  • Efficient and skilled driver - full licence, clean driving record
  • Presentable and professional

  • Well organised with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to take initiative
  • Punctual, reliable and energetic
  • Fit and strong

DESIRABLE ATTRIBUTES

  • Experience working in a food business – ideally a meat business
  • Interest in nutrition, cooking and butchery
  • Interest in sustainability and regenerative farming
  • Experience or interest in sustainable food production or similar

We source directly from regeneratively-managed local farms and we have a reputation for sourcing and selling high quality, ethically-produced meat and poultry. Our small team is made up of a broad cross-section of open-minded, tolerant people.

This position is open to applicants who are Australian citizens or who hold permanent residency and who live within a reasonable distance of our butchery in Marrickville.
