Federation of Community Legal Centres Victoria

About Us

The Federation is the peak body for Victoria’s Community Legal Centres (CLCs). Our members are at the forefront of helping those facing economic, cultural or social disadvantage and whose life circumstances are severely affected by their legal problem.

For over 40 years CLCs have been the heart of a powerful movement for social change, reshaping how people access justice, creating stronger more equitable laws, and more accountable government and democracy.

As their peak body, we work with and support CLCs to fight for a fairer, more just community.

About the role

Collaborating with our member community legal centres (CLCs) who specialise in legal matters relating to women, youth, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, family violence and issues facing regional communities, you will be partnering to foster a culture of continuous quality improvement and strengthening capacity within the Federation and CLCs.

With a passion for social justice, you will guide our members to implement the National Accreditation Scheme (NAS) across Victoria, and support them in the integration of quality improvement activities and practice into ongoing work and culture.

With a strong background in accreditation and quality improvement you are equally comfortable using compliance or quality standards to assess and enhance performance, as you are with working collaboratively to design and develop tools, templates and resources to enhance sector capacity.

About you

You will apply your strong project management skills and sound knowledge and experience in accreditation and quality improvement to implement, monitor, evaluate and improve the NAS across Victoria, and you will have the confidence to take the initiative and lead in this space.

You will use your significant stakeholder engagement capability to collaborate with state and national counterparts, and consult and coach members to provide advice, guidance and capacity building throughout the accreditation cycle.

Analytical by nature, you will foster a culture of continuous quality improvement to identify common issues and trends that are used to inform sector excellence, support the Federation’s strategic direction and strengthen services and outcomes for the community.

You will utilise your excellent written communication to draft a range of audit reports and accreditation documentation that supports organisational development and governance.
