We rescue food that would otherwise go to waste and cook it into nutritious meals for people in need.
We provide free meals to more than 400 charities including homeless shelters, soup vans, women’s refuges, disadvantaged schools and community food banks. Our vision is for a society where food is not wasted and no one goes hungry.
FareShare operates Australia’s largest charity kitchen's in Melbourne and Brisbane cooking 12,000 meals every day. We are a community-powered by volunteers. In addition to the 600 regular Brisbane volunteers who help us cook, collect, distribute and grow food, we empower hundreds of corporate volunteers to make a difference in our kitchen each year.
FareShare is seeking a Volunteer and Administration Support Officer to maintain our regular volunteer program and administer our Queensland data base.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in an administration role, and will possess outstanding communication and people skills. In previous roles, you will have demonstrated your ability to use initiative, manage time efficiently, and to organise and prioritise your workload. You will need strong computer skills (particularly in MS Office), and will have experience using databases and CRM tools - ideally Salesforce.
