The Senior Policy Officer in the Centre for Workforce Excellence will support the development of Aboriginal workforce development initiatives alongside the Aboriginal Strategy and service design unit to ensure they align and reinforce principles of self-determination, and appropriately represent the views and interests of Aboriginal stakeholders. The position will need to:

  • Provide authoritative advice, maintain strong, collaborative relationships across government and with the family violence and broader social services sector, develop creative, evidence-based solutions and embed a diversity and intersectionality lens across all activities
  • Develop and manage project plans, grants, procurement activities and service agreements/contracts
  • Prepare reports, briefings and responses to information requests

Are you

  • Experienced in establishing or managing complex procurement activity or grants processes?

  • Organised and able to multitask while maintaining quality and accuracy of work?

  • Able to communicate sensitively and effectively in complex and challenging situations?

  • A high performing team player with a collaborative approach?
