Hours: 45.6 per fortnight

This is a fixed term part time contract to 30th June 2020 with the possibility of extension.

True is looking for a Health Promotion and Education Officer (part time, 45.6 hours per fortnight) to work in the Gold Coast area.

As a Health Promotion and Education Officer you will:

  • Develop and deliver information, education and training in the area of sexual and reproductive health to members of the community.
  • Develop and deliver education and training to key professionals in the area of sexual and reproductive health.

True Relationships and Reproductive Health (True) is a leading provider of reproductive and sexual health services to people in Queensland. True offers clinical services, education, information and a sexual assault service across Queensland from its offices located in Brisbane, Cairns, Rockhampton, Sunshine Coast, Ipswich, Toowoomba and the Gold Coast.

True is a pro-choice organisation and is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee.

Selection criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in education and/or training; along with tertiary qualifications in education, human services, allied health or other related field
  • Skills in the development, delivery and evaluation of community education programs.
  • Skills in the delivery and evaluation of training programs for professionals
  • Strong written communication skills, including experience in preparing funding submissions, reports on projects and stakeholder communications.
  • Experience in consultation and collaboration with relevant government and community organisations, and the development of partnerships
  • Experience working within disability service settings may be an advantage
  • Computer literacy in word processing, email and spreadsheet software programs

Other:

  • Currently hold or able to obtain a 'Working with Children Blue Card issued in the State of Queensland
  • A driver’s licence is required as some travel and out of business hours work may be required.
