We are looking for an experienced person with Tertiary qualifications in journalism, communications, social science, policy development or other relevant discipline to provide communications, policy and research support to the Executive Officer.
Hours of work: 15 hours per week – to be worked on agreed days between the hours of 9.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday. Hours of work may be increased by negotiation from time to time due to operational requirements.
Position Location: Families ACT’s office or other locations as may arise.
The Organisation: Families ACT is a territory peak, not-for-profit, organisation which aims to represent the interests of children, young people and families and the continuum of services which support them, in the ACT and surrounding region.
The Role: Provide communications, policy and research support to the Executive Officer that further enhances the growth, development and profile of Families ACT.
Explore and implement media outreach to a range of print and online media and promote Families ACT’s key messages to target audiences. Manage all communications including website, newsletters & social media.
