Senior Energy Policy Analyst

Environment Victoria

If you’re passionate about driving action on climate change, you want Victoria and Australia to be leaders on cleaning up our polluting energy supply, and you want to work for one of the country’s most strategic, dynamic and successful environmental NGOs, this could be for you.

We’re recruiting for a Senior Energy Policy Analyst - a part-time, permanent position.

This role sits within our Campaigns team and the successful applicant will be a key player in our Beyond Coal campaign.

We are looking for someone dynamic, passionate, hard-working and professional. You care about climate change and are committed to working to accelerate the energy transition from coal and gas to clean energy solutions. You have excellent written and oral communication skills and have an ability to work with a wide spectrum of stakeholders. You have experience in energy or climate policy and are confident reading dense reports and analysing data and using this information to support an argument.

You may have a background in the energy industry, consulting, public service, civil society or academia. Whatever your background, you have an ability to quickly get up to speed on complex policy issues and the desire and political nous to become an effective and savvy policy advocate, to make change in the real world that benefits our climate and environment.

For further information, see the position description in the supporting documents below.

We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people, people of colour, women, people with disability and members of the LGBTIQA+ community.
