About the role

Based in Victoria, we are looking for an individual who will proactively seek new business opportunities across a variety of B2B sectors, and work with the leadership team to implement systems and procedures that will drive sales, enhance distribution, improve customer relations, and pursue new opportunities. Ethical Manufacturing operates from a small warehouse, in which plant-based products are manufactured and orders are fulfilled. Our BDM will be required to oversee stock levels in the warehouse, and occasionally to assist with packing of orders and sending product samples to sales prospects.

The ideal candidate is an experienced self-starter whose passion and motivation shines through their work. Reliable, diligent, and ambitious, our new team member must also reflect the company’s ethics and values in every interaction with leads, partners, colleagues, and customers.

Role responsibilities

  • Manage stock levels in a small warehouse
  • Proactively identify new B2B opportunities
  • Manage and evolve a strong sales pipeline
  • Prepare and submit pricing and proposal documentation
  • Represent the company by networking and attending industry events
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels
  • Ensure sales outcomes align with service delivery capabilities

Remuneration

$20 to $40 per hour, inclusive of sales commission and incentives, and depending on experience.

Skills and experience

Essential

  • Sales experience (B2B, FMCG, health foods, independent supermarkets, vegan/vegetarian/plant-based foods, specialty goods)
  • Excellent communication (spoken and written) and presentation skills
  • Skilled at building and nurturing relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Computer literacy: MS Office suite, CRM, basic image editing, Cloud collaboration tools
  • Ability to prioritise workload, execute tasks in effective time frames, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated and autonomous
  • Valid driver's license and vehicle

Non-Essential

  • Experience in warehouse operations and logistics
  • Experience in operating a 'walkie' forklift
