This is a perfect role for an experienced Senior Emergency WHS Coordinator looking for an opportunity to join a fast growing and evolving organisation. To be successful in this position, you are:

  • Experienced in emergency management, incident command and pandemic response
  • Skilled in delivering health, safety and wellbeing initiatives in a multi-site environment
  • Knowledgeable of OHS regulations and reporting requirements across States and Territory
  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS / WHS or a related field
  • Organisation and time management skills that are balanced with attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Great systems skills with the ability to manage information across multiple platforms

It is a requirement of this position to acquire and maintain a positive Working with Children’s Check, NDIS Worker Screening check and possess a current & valid driver’s license.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Practice Officer, this role is responsible for emergency management, pandemic response and WHS coordination for a fast-growing national complex disability and mental health organisation. This role will ensure organisation wide compliance with relevant legislations and requirements, establish a culture of safety and provide authoritative advice to the Executive Leadership Team.

  • Establish and maintain emergency management frameworks, policies and procedures
  • Lead the organisation’s response to pandemic activity
  • Coordination and management of all WHS activities
  • Ensure current knowledge of relevant legislation and requirements, inclusive of reporting
  • Provide prompt identification and rectification of workplace incidents and hazards
  • Facilitation of various Committees
  • Development and facilitation of relevant training

This role will work from home and is flexible with location. You may be required to attend meetings or training at our Head Office in Dandenong South. You will also be expected to communicate via teleconferences and conduct site visits when required.
