About Epic Arts:

Epic Arts is an inclusive arts-based organisation based in Cambodia and a registered charity in the UK. We use the arts as form of empowerment to bring people with and without disabilities together to promote the message that ‘Every Person Counts’. The Epic Arts Café has been successfully providing an inclusive workplace for people since 2006. The café runs as a social enterprise leg of the organisation, and houses our Epic Creations shop upstairs. Over 80% of our café staff have some form of disability.

Position Summary:

As the Epic Arts Café expands we are in need of an assistant manager to aid in the everyday running of our Kampot café. We are also looking to formalise our training program for new staff members. The assistant manager will aid the café business manager by creating and tailoring an inclusive hospitality training program to teach and upskill new staff members.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all food and beverages meet a high-quality standard
• Complete everyday tasks within the café setting
• Co-ordinate service and kitchen teams to ensure efficiency
• Support both service and cooking when necessary, or when requested by café manager
• Create and implement an inclusive training program
• Ordering and management of stock
• Manage staff schedule
• Work with café supervisors to maintain a clean and hygienic café, at all times
• Manage group bookings
• Bring new ideas to management on ways to further the business
• Be an excellent team member, with an open mind to work with a diverse group of people
• Be the bridge between the café staff and business manager, along with Epic Arts leaders
• Assist the café business manager to promote the Epic Arts Café
• Supervise the café’s cash flows and assets
• Any reasonable requests by Epic Arts management or café manager
