Celebrating 35 years, inTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence (inTouch) offers services and programs across the family violence continuum, from prevention and early intervention, to crisis intervention, post crisis support and recovery.

About the Opportunity

Due to ongoing growth, inTouch is looking for a passionate Capacity Builder/Trainer to join their team Richmond, VIC on a contract basis, until June 2021. This role is being offered with either full-time or part-time hours, on a negotiable basis.

Working as part of a small, highly experienced team, you will be developing and delivering capacity building initiatives and training that predominantly focuses on helping to prevent and respond to family violence in multicultural communities.

Training is delivered to a range of participants, including staff from family violence & community service organisations; government employees; or volunteers, students, community members and leaders from multicultural communities. You will be traveling to sites across Melbourne and regional Victoria.

Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Conducting needs analyses, developing tailored training packages, capacity building initiatives and providing training or other professional development resources;
  • Contributing to continuous improvement processes, updating training based on research, feedback, and training evaluations;
  • Delivering relevant specialist advice or knowledge to external service providers;
  • Developing and implementing strategies for monitoring and evaluating the quality and impact of projects;
  • Building effective working relationships with relevant internal and external stakeholders; and
  • Assisting in the development of quality training and capacity building policies and procedures.
