About the Opportunity

inTouch is currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join their Sector and Community unit as Team Leader (Sector Development). Based in Melbourne, working across their Richmond and Dandenong locations, this is a full-time, fixed-term contract until June 2021, with potential for extension, subject to future funding.

Responsible for approximately 4 direct reports, you will be overseeing the development and delivery of inTouch's sector development work, which aims to build the capacity of professionals in the service sector to reduce the harm of family violence, with a focus on culturally responsive family violence practice and the specific needs of migrant and refugee communities.

Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Coordinating the development, implementation and maintenance of the unit’s training and capacity building plan;

  • Developing strategies for monitoring and evaluating the quality and impact of training or capacity building initiatives;
  • Identifying any gaps or opportunities for new training areas or emerging areas of focus, contributing to project submissions as required;
  • Building effective working relationships with relevant government or community organisations and external agencies; and
  • Supporting the Executive Leadership Team in developing and maintaining a strong strategic focus that aligns with broader sector reform.
