Although not essential, any experience working in remote areas or with Aboriginal communities will be highly regarded. As will, an understanding of Aboriginal history, culture and contemporary Aboriginal political, social, cultural and economic issues. You'll require a demonstrated ability to work with traditional Aboriginal people in a “dry” community, as well as a commitment to the principles of the Aboriginal self-determination at a community level.

It will be important to have the confidence and resilience to work in, what can often be an undeniably challenging environment. You will need to be flexible to the needs of the store, and comfortable handling environmental issues such as heat, dust and dirt.

Please note: You will need a current, unrestricted Manual Driver's Licence, and have or be willing to obtain a National Police Check, psychometric test and pre-employment medical.
