Relationship Manager

Scout Talent

The Opportunity

We're on the lookout for an experienced professional to join our Melbourne team as a full-time Relationship Manager.

At Scout Talent Group we are truly passionate about helping existing and future clients in the Indigenous Health and Education sectors to recruit the great people they need. This is a rare opportunity to do just that within our SME sales team.

You'll be caring for a portfolio of wonderful existing clients, with the goal of maintaining a strong relationship that will lead to continued repeat business and long term success. You’ll liaise with the client and our Specialist teams to coordinate efforts and ensure a flawless execution of our services.

In addition to managing these existing accounts, you will also be responsible for developing new relationships with key stakeholders by connecting with prospects over the phone, having valuable conversations about their recruitment software and services needs, discussing how we can assist them to recruit top talent, and ultimately presenting them with our relevant product/services offerings and closing sales.

You may be thinking 'is anyone even recruiting during these tough economic times?' and the answer is actually yes - while COVID has been challenging, our business continues to attract new clients and we've seen our existing clients continue to recruit for a number of reasons (a lot of businesses are now in a re-build phase).

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate could come from the community, not for profit, education, healthcare or indigenous sectors. Sales experience is not required - you could be an experienced professional or leader within any of these industries, with an understanding of the importance of recruiting the right people into a business, and looking to take on a new challenge and provide a service to organisations who will truly benefit from our offerings.

As someone who is passionate about creating connections and building relationships, you'll be comfortable networking and proactively engaging with prospects through LinkedIn Sales Navigator, other online channels, and over the phone.

Importantly, we're looking for someone with a genuine interest in assisting Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations to find and recruit the best talent.

The Benefits

You'll be rewarded with a remuneration package made up of a base salary and uncapped commissions tied to personal performance (on-target earnings in your first year are circa $85,000 - $100,000).

You'll be well supported by your Team Leader, Area Leader and team members, as well as our Specialist teams who know the ropes and are invested in helping you succeed. We also won't let COVID impact you getting up to speed - you'll receive thorough online training until restrictions ease and you're able to work from our lovely CBD-based office.

Our company culture is really important to us and we celebrate success with regular shout-outs on our internal social network, ringing bells when a new sale comes in, quarterly awards nights/parties, and an annual overseas weekend rewards for our High Achievers (when COVID isn't impacting our travel plans!). As much as we recognise and reward our people, we also place importance on focus and self-discipline. It's a good balance.
