Mala'La Health Services Aboriginal Corporation services Maningrida and surrounding areas in North East Arnhem Land and exists to improve the health & well-being of people in the Maningrida community and surrounding outstations.

About the Opportunity

Mala'Lanow has an exciting opportunity for a Manager of Flexible Aged Care and Community Services, working full-time in Maningrida, NT.

Reporting to the CEO, you will be primarily responsible for managing the operations of Mala’la Flexible Aged Care and Community Services, including Commonwealth Home Care Packages and Home Support Program and NDIS service delivery.

Your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):

  • Managing the operations of the service including the physical, financial and human resources;
  • Manage the CHSP and the Home Support program to ensure optimal service delivery to clients;
  • Provide leadership and work in consultation with staff to ensure optimal service delivery to clients;
  • Coordinate the assessment of individual clients personal and social needs; and
  • Monitoring program budgets in consultation with the Accountant on a monthly basis

About You

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated experience monitoring financial budgets and reporting to major funding bodies. It is important to note that candidates who are qualified Registered Nurses will be at a distinct advantage.

Demonstrated skills in workplace change management will be key, as will experience implementing quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will certainly have exemplary communication and consultation skills in conjunction with a sound level of computer literacy.

Most importantly, you will be a resilient leader who has a thorough knowledge and understanding of issues impacting Indigenous people and communities. It is important to note that candidates who possess experience working within an Aboriginal Medical Service or working within a remote Aboriginal community will be at a distinct advantage.

Please note: You will require two COVID vaccine doses by the 24th of December or prior to commencing duty. You also must be in possession of a 'C' class Drivers License, an OCHRE Card and be willing to undergo a National Police Clearance.
