Cairns Regional Domestic Violence Service (CRDVS) is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to using its specialist knowledge and skills to prevent domestic and family violence in the community, and to empower those affected by it. Working from a gendered analysis that recognises women and children as bearing the brunt of this violence, they support clients to live life free from the impact and threat of violence in their lives, by providing space and validation of their experiences through a platform of safety and empowerment.

About the Opportunity

Cairns Regional Domestic Violence Service (CRDVS) has a rewarding opportunity for a Finance and Administration Officer to join their team in Cairns, QLD on a flexible part-time basis (30 hours/fortnight). This role is being offered on a 2 year fixed term contract, with extension likely, subject to further funding.

Reporting to the Finance and Business Manager, you will be ensuring the efficient operation of a range of business and administrative functions, including the preparation of scheduled financial reports, maintaining office supplies, accurate data entry and record keeping.

Your other duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Processing payroll, including entitlements, salary sacrifice, group tax and superannuation;
  • Working with the Finance and Business Manager to prepare monthly, quarterly and end of year financial reports;
  • Assisting with petty cash and client support disbursements;
  • Maintaining and purchasing general office supplies; and
  • Updating the CRDVS compliance register, reporting any non-compliance to the Finance and Business Manager.
