Bourke Aboriginal Health Service (BAHS) is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service that provides primary health care services initiated and operated by the local Aboriginal community to deliver holistic, comprehensive, and culturally appropriate health care.

About the Opportunity

Bourke Aboriginal Health Service now has a new opportunity for a full-time Dietitian to join their team in Bourke, NSW.

Reporting to the Health Manager, this role will see you working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver holistic, healthy lifestyle services to the Bourke community as part of the Chronic Disease, and Healthy for Life programs. You will also ensure the effective communication of the organisation's vision and strategies.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating menus and food plans to meet each individual clients’ dietary and health requirements;
  • Contributing towards relevant policy and strategy development;
  • Providing resource information, support advocacy and referrals; and
  • Promoting healthy lifestyles, raising awareness of relationship between food and general wellbeing, disease, disability, and other health-related issues.
