MoneyMob Talkabout is a not-for-profit organisation delivering financial literacy education and counselling with and for people in remote Indigenous communities.
Their Money Hub in the APY Lands, provides a one-stop shop for local community members to interact with the broader economy in a safe and supportive environment. Teams also visit other communities in South Australia from Pipalyatjarra to Indulkana providing services on an outreach basis.
On the back of their successful track record of remote service delivery, MoneyMob Talkabout has recently been chosen to run the Mimili Family Wellbeing Centre. This brings a new service under the organisation's umbrella, helping to progress their strategic commitment of influencing change and addressing systemic issues impacting financial and economic well being.
MoneyMob Talkabout is actively committed to being an Aboriginal run and led service, as such they strongly encourage experienced and qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People to apply for this position.
Due to a period of service expansion, MoneyMob Talkabout now has an opportunity for a Coordinator to join their team, based in Mimili, SA, who will oversee the Family Wellbeing Centre there on a full-time fixed term contract to 30 June 2022.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director and working closely with the community based council and residents, this newly created role will see the successful applicant coordinating the Mimili Family Wellbeing Centre in close collaboration with co-located youth and community support services, employing, supervising and providing professional development opportunities for local Centre staff.
