Our Role

We are looking for a Program Officer, Mental Health & AOD to work on a range of mental health, AOD and suicide prevention initiatives. In partnership with MH & AOD Managers, you will commission integrated services and other initiatives that respond to local needs, and work across all aspects of the process including project initiation, co-design, procurement and contract management. This position has been created to meet the demand of increased activity due to COVID19. We are looking for an individual who can utilise their skills and experience to ‘hit the ground running’ and make an immediate impact.  

Who we are looking for

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and experience in health care and in a mental health or community services related discipline
  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a variety of organisations
  • An understanding of co-design principles and/or commissioning
  • Experience in data analysis, project management and project management administration

Our Organisation

EMPHN is an organisation of approximately 90 staff, and is one of the major commissioners of federally-funded health care services in Melbourne. EMPHN is responsible for improving the primary health care system, by facilitating health system improvements in the eastern and north eastern suburbs of Melbourne.
