Ekistica (www.ekistica.com.au) is a professional advisory and technical consultancy firm based in Central Australia with extensive experience delivering innovative solutions to the complex challenges of remote area infrastructure development, across Australia, the Pacific, South Asia and beyond.
Wholly owned by the Indigenous controlled Centre for Appropriate Technology, our vision is a world where location is no longer a barrier to good technical outcomes: where the appropriation of technology enables people, communities, and businesses to reach their full potential. We pursue this by providing high quality, independent technical advisory, design engineering and project delivery services to a wide range of national and international clients that include state and national governments, intergovernmental agencies and development banks/organisations, power utilities, community service organisations, large commercial firms and private investment firms.
Based in our Alice Springs office alongside our dynamic team of more than twenty-five professional engineers, project managers, engagement specialists and data analysts, you will help lead and deliver an exciting and challenging suite of projects that include utility scale wind and solar farms, and power supply projects for remote communities and regional commercial facilities such as airports and tourism ventures and other public and privately funded remote infrastructure developments.
With at least five years of demonstrable experience in electrical/power systems design and/or project delivery, you possess the relevant technical qualifications, commercial experience, and an active engagement with networks and industry developments, to help create innovative solutions for our clients. Chartered status would be preferable.
Working alongside Ekistica’s established and growing team of renewable and electrical engineers, you will work to further our ability to proactively identify and respond to the opportunities and challenges facing the development of new renewables both here in Australia as well as overseas in both lead and support capacities.
The position is full-time and based in Ekistica’s offices on the beautiful Desert Knowledge Precinct in Alice Springs, with travel to project sites in Australia and overseas where needed.
Ekistica offers 5 weeks annual leave each year, flexible working arrangements, an annual professional development allowance, superannuation of 10% in addition to base salary, and annual performance bonus measured against the following key metrics:
A relocation allowance is offered for new interstate employees.
