We are looking for a Digital Health and Quality Improvement Officer to join our team.

The Digital Health and QI Program Officer is responsible for providing support to health professionals across the Central and Eastern Sydney Primary Health Network (CESPHN) region, supporting various digital health initiatives and quality improvement activities.

Key responsibilities

  • Undertake work on digital health and quality improvement initiatives such as My Health Record, digital health Practice Incentive Payments, and data quality improvement (QI) activities.
  • Provide client visits, meetings and telephone support to medical specialists, general practices, allied health professionals, universities and non-government organisations on digital health and QI related activities.
  • Ensure timely input of all required detail into CESPHN’s Salesforce data base system including relevant interactions with stakeholders;
  • Work with team members to support general practices around person centred approaches considering capacity and capability requirements and tailoring support to practices.
  • Provide input and assist in the planning, reporting and development of relevant policies, procedures, activities, and digital health program protocols.
  • Seek opportunities to work collaboratively with internal staff to improve quality project and practice outcomes

Selection criteria – essential

  • Tertiary qualifications in health informatics or relevant experience in a health related field;
  • IT skills and knowledge in the use of data bases, Microsoft Office suite, data security and clinical software used by health care providers;
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, set project goals, prioritise tasks and troubleshoot in order to achieve key objectives within designated timeframes;
  • Ability to build, develop and sustain positive partnerships and productive working relationships with all levels of stakeholders, including individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds;
  • Experience providing training and support to health care professionals and community members;
  • Access to a motor vehicle and possession of a current NSW drivers’ licence

Selection criteria - desirable

  • An understanding of the primary health care environment and experience in communicating with health care professionals and consumers; and
  • Ability and willingness to facilitate educational workshops and develop quality educational resources.
