CTBMCLC is opening a new office in Orange, co-located with the Orange Local Aboriginal Land Council. We are seeking 2 solicitors who will have the opportunity to grow the practice and build relationships as the office is established.

We prioritise our services to those most in need, in accordance with the priority groups in the National Legal Assistance Partnership Agreement.
Attendance at the Bathurst and Orange ADVO list days will be required, in addition to attending outreach locations such as the Bathurst Neighbourhood Centre and Relationships Australia.
Solicitors based in Orange should also be willing to travel to the Binaal Billa Family Violence Prevention Legal Service based in Forbes, covering the surrounding area.
You will be supported and trained by experienced lawyers. We practice with a trauma informed as well as domestic violence informed lens, focussing on practical advice and assistance, working with people where they are at and following the lead of clients who are the experts in their own lives.
You will also work closely with our community partners at refuges, women's health centres, neighbourhood centres, counsellors, other community agencies and specialist CLCs in order to achieve substantial outcomes for clients.
Please note that this role involves working with confronting subject matter and working with traumatised, and at times, highly distressed, clients. For this reason, in addition to internal debriefing and support, we provide external supervision paid for by the centre, on work time.
We have staff wellbeing committee and have a Board that is very supportive of staff.
We have also commenced working on our first RAP which will reinforce our commitment to addressing the ongoing impact of colonisation. We also prioritise services to Aboriginal and Torres Islander peoples committing to providing a service within 48 hours of contacting the centre.
If use of your personal car is required we reimburse kilometres at ATO rates.
Staff are encouraged and supported to attend CLCNSW events (quarterlies etc) and as well as other training and conferences and to participate in CLCNSW networks and working groups.

The position is graded at SCHADS grade 7 (hourly rate $57.63, annual salary $104 875), with above award conditions from our Enterprise Agreement, including:
