The newly developed role of Manager, Intensive Community Support has carriage of our newly developed DHHS COVID 19 funded Wellbeing and Carer Coaching programs, as well as management of our well-established telehealth health nurse program.

This role will have the responsibility of developing, delivering and managing a new service – the EDV Carer Coaching program in response to the increase in new cases in young people during the COVID 19 Pandemic. The program is aiming to assist families and carers to get off to a good start with family led refeeding and will comprise a weekly online support program for families waiting to commence treatment and intensive peer-to-peer coaching of families with newly diagnosed young people. The role will involve development of an implementation plan, development of resources, training of carer coaches and promotion through relevant services.

This role will also include some direct carer support work through our Wellbeing Check Program and may provide support to our telehealth nurse when she is assisting carers in crisis.

An essential part of this role will also require development of collaborative relationships with key services and clinicians e.g. CAMHS/CYMHS, Paediatric Eating Disorder Programs, private clinics.

As Manager, the successful applicant will provide supervision and support to the Wellbeing Program Coordinator, Telehealth Nurse and two Carer Coaches who will be lived experience expert carers.
