ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

EcoGipps is an environmental conservation organisation situated in the foothills at Maffra West Upper on Gunaikurnai Country. The team at EcoGipps is passionate about tackling biodiversity loss and the climate crisis through engaging with nature, connecting with Indigenous knowledge and heritage, and inspiring future generations.

ROLE OVERVIEW

This role is a unique opportunity to showcase your administrative experience and skills, whilst developing your capacity in the environmental conservation field.

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating and maintaining filing systems – both paper and electronic
  • Secretarial duties such as scheduling, transcribing, templating agendas, meeting preparation reviewing and formatting documents/reports/letters
  • Managing appointments and implementing diary management system
  • Email management and organisation

Position location:

EcoGipps office site is located in Maffra West Upper. Position requires one half-day based on-site each week. Balance of weekly work hours can be undertaken remotely from your home or chosen workspace.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Broad experience in similar administration or secretarial role
  • Attuned communication skills
  • Impeccably organised
  • High-level proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work from home with access to internet and mobile phone
  • Your own transport to travel to work on-site weekly
  • Reside or actively involved in the local community

DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Experience and passion in the environmental field, such as background in conservation, agriculture or similar
  • Experience in the community engagement or community development sector
  • Grant and submission writing experience
