The Port Phillip EcoCentre is a not-for-profit organisation that educates and inspires people to care for land, water, wildlife and community wellbeing. Our team of scientists, educators and volunteers use the outdoor world as our classroom to connect people with local nature and each other.

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our fun and caring team. Are you a talented, media-savvy communications professional, who enjoys juggling diverse storytelling and strategic tasks? (And drinking tea on a sunny garden deck.)

Some of the responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute marketing / communication strategies
  • Use a variety of communication methods (social media, email newsletters, venue branding, media releases and our website) to grow participation in EcoCentre programs
  • Plan and drive digital fundraising campaigns
  • Maintain our (freshly updated) website and contacts database
  • Inspire and partner with our community of individuals and organisations to be engaged in climate action
  • Campaigns supporting our beautiful new community sustainability hub opening in 2023

Your experience will include:

  • A strong background in marketing and digital communications, and a willingness to grow our brand via use of social media
  • Experience with (or an understanding of) running digital fundraising campaigns
  • Robust experience of using digital platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Wordpress, as well as the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience with the use and management of CRM’s, with experience in CiviCrm being ideal

Experience working with environment and climate groups would be highly regarded

The position is a part-time contracted position of 3 days per week, at level 4 of the SCHCADS Award 2010 ($74K per year approx., pro rata) plus 10.5% superannuation.
