Echuca Regional Health is seeking an experienced Senior Mental Health Clinician for an exciting new opportunity at headspace Echuca.

As the Senior Clinician you will:

  • Provide clinical supervision, secondary consultation, support and guidance to a multi-disciplinary team
  • Lead the clinical services and assure that a quality service is being offered in line with evidenced based principles.
  • Make a direct difference to the safety and life experiences of young people.

Applications are sought from suitably qualified individuals to work in the headspace team at Echuca Regional Health.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Monitor and lead the ongoing delivery and improvement of a high standard of evidence-based care to young people, their families and friends.
  • Lead clinical case reviews and allocation meetings with headspace and collocated staff to effectively manage clinical resources in a flexible manner.
  • Identify clinical risks and guide appropriate responses
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in the provision of service delivery

Our team requires someone who has:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Accredited Mental Health Social Work, Occupational Therapy or other relevant mental health discipline
  • Proven experience with advanced skills in clinical triage, assessment and referral in a range of mental health service settings
  • High-level awareness and advanced clinical skills in managing young people at risk
  • Demonstrated knowledge of youth mental health service system
  • Strong skills in clinical team leadership and relationship building

This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment.
