Each year, we provide over 10,000 client sessions and provide over 3,000 hours of support at an organisational level, through our CORP Workplace Solutions division. This organisational support consists of Critical Incident and Stress Management (CISM), Training, Coaching, Supervision, Conflict Resolution and a range of other HR Services. What is the role?

A rewarding role exists in a small, friendly and autonomous team of counsellors/office administrator for an experienced, flexible and growth oriented Alice Springs Clinician. With the opportunity to shape and mould the team, applicants can be either an early career clinician who would like to grow into the role commencing with coaching support and graduated responsibility or an experienced small team leader. This role is ideal for those wanting to support the Central Australian community, with an interest in social justice.

About this position

The role will be offered to a registered psychologist, counsellor or social worker with opportunities to scale your income based on your level of experience.

The right candidate will:

  • Be passionate, enthusiastic, and confident
  • Demonstrate skill and experience in providing a broad range of evidence-based psychological interventions
  • Demonstrate experience in providing psychological services to adults, children and/or adolescents
  • Supply evidence of an approved tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling
  • Be eligible for membership with APHRA/AASW/ACA or equivalent
  • Have professional indemnity insurance and other relevant checks (Police Clearance, Ochre Card & Driving Licence)
  • Be able to provide a hybrid model of face to face care and Telehealth
  • Supervise the counselling team in Alice Springs according to APS standards
  • Ensure best practice and quality services
  • Respond to and receive client feedback
  • Liaise with, develop and maintain good client relationships with key stakeholders

Key skills required for this role

  • Willingness to take on challenges and learn new skills
  • Be willing and able to work within a team
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

Desirable Criteria:

  • Experience working with clients under and EAP brief therapy model
  • Experience in managing a small team or looking to undertake a leadership position as the next step in their professional development
  • A Registered Supervisor for Intern Psychologists or supervision experience International applicants will be considered with the option for sponsorship Psychological testing may form part of the selection process
