About the Specialist Support Coordinator role

As part of our growing Regional Support Coordination Team, EACH is seeking a Specialist Support Coordinator to work on a full-time basis until August 2023 (Maternity Leave Cover).

The Specialist Support Coordinator will assist customers with complex needs to build their personal capacity to make decisions and choices about the implementation of all supports in their NDIS plan, including mainstream, informal, community and funded supports. Experience in dual-disability and/or lived experience with a disability or experience caring for someone with a disability will be highly regarded.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone with leadership qualities and experience working in clinical, educational, or community-based disability, mental health, or early childhood intervention services, or related field to join the team.

If you're an Allied Health Professional or Developmental Educator, qualified with a degree, experience working in NDIS and/or complex support teams, enjoy variety in your day, and working closely with other service delivery professionals, then read on!

What you'll be doing

This specialist role will involve:

  • Assisting customers with complex needs to initiate their NDIS plan and develop their skills and confidence to manage their plan independently
  • Working with potential customers and new customers to act as the key liaison point for all related services chosen by the individual
  • Working alongside mainstream health services including Mental Health and Disability-related services and hospitals
  • You will interface with NDIS and mainstream services in a way that demonstrates competency and clarity around navigating all aspects of NDIS.
  • Ensuring all services are booked and rostered for customers in a timely way

Who you'll be working with

You will be joining a supportive and fun Regional Support Coordination team, made up of Specialist Support Coordinators, Level 2 Support Coordinators and Psychosocial Recovery Coaches, who are supported by our Team Leaders.
