Who we're looking for

Our Manningham Youth Services (MYS) team is looking for a .6FTE Project Officer - Rainbow Connections!

If you hold a qualification in Social Science, experienced in delivering innovative youth outreach activities/programs and a sound understanding of the needs and issues experienced by young people who identify as LGBTQIA+, then you could be the exact person were looking for!

We're looking for someone who is passionate about working with vulnerable young people, who wants to work as part of a small collaborative team and take ownership of and create a quality service as one of the programs founding members in the community. You will enjoy building strong partnerships and relationships with a broad range of stakeholders, be trustworthy and approachable with strong organisation skills.

What you'll be doing

Your days will be varied as the Rainbow Connection Project Officer, where you will be responsible in establishing, co-designing, implementing and facilitating a LGBTQIA+ social support program for young people. The role will be highly engaging working collaboratively at all times with Manningham Council, headspace Hawthorn and Access Health and Community to support the program's vision and overall success.

Who you'll be working with

Reporting into the Team Leader - Manningham Youth Services, you'll be joining a small team of service delivery professionals dedicated to promoting community - inclusive youth services aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of local young people.
