If you hold a Masters of Counselling, Mental Health Social Work, Mental Health Occupational Therapist, Psychologist (including provisional) registered with the appropriate regulatory body and have demonstrated clinical mental health experience working with adolescents and young adults with varied mental health difficulties, a demonstrated understanding of school culture and the challenging problems facing young people, then you might be exactly the person we're looking for!
As part of our headspace Fountain Gate SC team, EACH is looking for a passionate and experienced School Clinician to deliver mental health activities to young people aged 12-18yrs currently attending the college on a full-time basis (1.0 EFT).
Your role will be varied on a day-to-day basis. Utilising your outstanding clinical skills in working with young people and their families/carers with mental health issues in an early intervention framework, you will provide evidence-based treatments to young people through a range of individual and group work sessions as well as deliver a flexible mixture of face to face, in-person and telehealth options where required.
The School Clinician is an integral part of the well-being team and works closely with other headspace clinical staff, school wellbeing staff plus the Assistant Principal at FGSC. The role is jointly supported operationally by the headspace School Services Team Leader and the AP at FGSC. It is supported clinically by the Clinical Lead - School Services at headspace Narre Warren.
You will also be working with other professionals within a multidisciplinary team of health service professionals who are dedicated to working with young people and their families, who present with complex and long-standing mental health challenges, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
