Our new Adolescent Family Violence Program at Narre Warren is looking for a Family Violence Therapeutic Practitioners to aid in reducing adolescent family violence through a comprehensive suite of therapeutic services, making a huge difference in their lives.
If you're tertiary qualified in Psychology, Social Work or a related discipline, enjoy variety in your day and working closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we're looking for!
You will have extensive experience working within family violence, child protection and/or in working with children and/or adults experiencing complex trauma environment. You'll bring a strong person-centred approach and understanding of family violence risk assessment frameworks and appropriate application of these for adolescents who use family violence to help them achieve behavioural change and develop resilience into the future.
As the Family Violence Therapeutic Practitioner, you will provide therapeutic interventions (individual and group) for adolescents who use family violence to straighten the young person's emotional well-being, communication and problem-solving skills applying a range of evidence-based treatment approaches.
Who you'll be working with
Reporting to the Program Manager, you will be part of a growing multidisciplinary team of service professionals. In addition, as part of this specialist family violence service, you will be working in partnership with Uniting Victoria and Tasmania Ltd (Uniting), EACH and the Australian Childhood Foundation (ACF) to provide the best service.
