We are looking for a qualified Psychologist eager to make a positive, long-lasting changes with children, their families, as well as kindergarten staff in the Outer East Melbourne region. Using experience in areas including child development, psycho-social and cognitive development, our ideal candidate will empower educators and families, building their capacity to prepare young children for the crucial early schooling years.
We would love to hear from people confident building relationships within the education sector, as well as within multidisciplinary teams, who can leverage relationships to impart an understanding of the impact that the priority areas of communication (language development), wellbeing (social and emotional) and access/inclusion have on children's achievement, overall wellbeing and engagement
An understanding of and able to work in alignment with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) for early childhood education and care, and skill and experience in Group training, coaching and case consultation experience, specifically experience providing professional learning activities for a range of audiences is essential.
This position will be offered at 0.8EFT to 1.0EFT, on a 3 year fixed-term basis.
You will have excellent access to kindergarten educators and families in kindergarten communities to build their capacity to support young children's learning in the key areas of communication (language development) wellbeing (social and emotional) and access and inclusion. Using evidence-based practices, what you do will benefit all children and families you work with.

A typical day will involve providing 2- 3 direct outreach services to Kindergartens that builds the capability of educators and families. Sessions will include coaching, modelling, mentoring, group training, and consultation to deliver a comprehensive capacity building service to
Kindergartens to improve School Readiness outcomes for children.

You will liaise directly with Kindergartens, PSFO Officers, the EACH SRF Allied Health Team, the Child Development, Team Leader and other staff.
Supported by National Clinical Leads, as well as a host of other Allied Health Professionals in the region, all working towards common goals.
