Our headspace team is looking for a part-time (.8FTE) Mental Health Clinician to join their team!
If you're degree qualified in nursing, psychology, occupational therapy or social work and AHPRA registered (or eligible for membership with the association in your field), passionate about supporting young people towards their goals and engage with their community, then this might be the opportunity for you!
As the Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician, you will understand the importance of a youth-friendly and dynamic service to assess and treat young people diagnosed with a range of mental health difficulties. You will have demonstrated clinical mental health experience in working with families to deliver therapeutic interventions. You will be a highly collaborative and engaging individual, who is excited about taking ownership of their day and creating a quality customer-centric service.
The Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician position is a crucial role within the headspace Dandenong and Hastings service, as a point of access & clinical support to headspace for young people, families and community members. You will be responsible for completing access & brief intake assessments with young people and their families, single-session intervention, primary & secondary consultations, coordinating supported referrals, health promotion activities, and providing a range of effective evidence-based brief treatment interventions. You will deliver sessions through in-person appointments, telehealth and phone-based sessions.
The role is based across at the headspace Hastings site to best support young people towards their goals and to live within the Mornington Peninsula community.
Reporting to the Intake Team Leader you will be part of a very connected team of highly experienced and enthusiastic clinicians that promotes reflective practice and case discussions. The team is dedicated to working with young people and their families, who present mental health challenges, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
