Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV)’s vision is to create a world in which gender equality ensures women and their children are thriving, respected and free from violence.

We are a statewide resource centre and registered training organisation working across prevention and response, providing:

  • Training courses, forums, events and workshops
  • Resources for professionals, victims, friends and family
  • Family violence websites and online resources
  • Advocacy and policy advice
  • Information and referrals

DVRCV and Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) have agreed to merge under the umbrella of DV Vic. DV Vic is the peak body for specialist family violence response services for victim survivors in Victoria.

While this role will be employed by DV Vic, it will be based within the DVRCV structure during the merge transition period.

THE ROLE

This role will be responsible for overseeing delivery of the expanded Fast Track program. This will provide accelerated capability development of a new cohort of senior level practitioners in the specialist family violence response sector, and of mid-level management and leaders in the prevention of violence against women sector.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU WILL HAVE:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification (or at least 7 years’ experience in a similar role)
  • High level project management experience and knowledge of project and contract management processes and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a program of work, including supporting evaluation and development, program planning, and policy and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience managing stakeholder relationships
  • Well-developed problem solving, conflict resolution and decision-making abilities
  • Experience in developing internal relationships and processes in order to seek collaborative solutions
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • High level written and verbal communication skills
  • Supervisory skills including the ability to effectively motivate, lead and support staff
  • Knowledge of key primary prevention and response frameworks and standards (desirable)
  • Experience in a role/organisation engaged in Prevention of Violence against Women or the specialist family violence sector (desirable)
  • Understanding of workforce development and training design and delivery (desirable)
