Program Description

drummond street services is seeking an experienced Training and Consultancy Services Co-ordinator to develop and deliver a range of training and consultancy services for the family violence and related sectors.

drummond street services (DS) is a not-for-profit agency that provides family services, mental health and wellbeing support, relationship counselling, parent support and education for families, children and young people that reflect the diversity of the communities across our different locations.

drummond street has over 127 years in the development and delivery of innovative services that strengthens families and communities with a strong focus on evidence-based/informed practice and across the prevention and early intervention spectrum of universal and targeted support. All our programs and services implement an intersectional framework, a public health approach to health and well-being, and a social justice mission.

drummond street has played a crucial role providing specialist support to members of the LGBTQI community for over many decades through its queerspace program, which also provides specialist family and intimate partner violence services to LGBTIQ+ people and their families experiencing or at risk of violence or abuse.

In addition, drummond street delivers services across the following programs:

  • Mental Health programs (Better Access/TPS)
  • Family Mental Health Support Services
  • Family & Relationships Services
  • Royal Commission Support Services
  • Group Programs
  • Parent engagement, Education & Support

ROLE

In this role you will contribute to the growth, development and quality of drummond street services’ training and consultancy services by:

  • Managing the development, refinement and delivery of education and training projects such as iHeal and other funded projects for the family violence and allied sectors
  • Conducting ongoing service sector audits, mapping and scoping of current professional learning, education and continuous professional development courses for cultural safety and inclusive practice and other content relevant to intersectionality
  • Develop and design innovative high-quality evidence-based professional learning programs and courses
  • Support participants to maximise learning
  • Develop assessment and evaluation tools in collaboration with DSS research team, and assess to ensure learning outcomes have been achieved
  • Identify new funding opportunities for innovative education and training products and resources
  • Build relationships with partners and sector service providers
