Do you want the opportunity to work for justice, choice and self-determination for survivors of institutional child sexual abuse?
drummond street provides trauma informed, recovery-oriented counselling and support services with survivors of institutional child sexual abuse making an application to the National Redress Scheme and to survivors who are using Restore-Victorian Redress Counselling Service.
drummond street is seeking a Senior Complex Trauma Recovery Practitioner to join their Redress and Restore service on a full-time, contract basis until the end of June 2022, with the possibility subject to funding of a longer contract. This role will be based in Inner Northern region (Carlton & Coburg locations), with occasional travel in metropolitan and greater Melbourne.
This role will see you lead, supervise and collaborate a trans-disciplinary, trauma informed team to ensure delivery of high quality, client led counselling and support services.
You are a skilled practitioner and leader who is looking to become part of a team committed to social justice, who can share and build knowledge to support recovery-oriented practice that centres the voice of survivors and people who have experiences of trauma due to systemic harms of institutions.
drummond street services (DS) is a not-for-profit, non-denominational agency that has over 130 years in the development and delivery of innovative services that strengthen families and communities with a strong focus on evidence-based/informed practice and across the prevention, early intervention, treatment and recovery spectrum of universal and targeted support. We supported survivors to tell their story to the Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse.
We are now working with survivors of institutional child sexual abuse engaging with the National Redress Scheme, providing services that are accessible, client-led and meet the needs of clients, their families and carers, and who are using Restore-Victorian Redress Counselling Service.
Upon joining drummond street services, you'll be welcomed into a hard-working, compassionate and supportive team of individuals from diverse backgrounds. In return for your dedication and commitment, you will be offered an attractive remuneration package (negotiable based on experience), as well as salary packaging options.
