drummond street services has been funded to deliver mental health support for LGBTIQ+ people and their families. The Mental Health Recovery Support Worker will work alongside Care Coordinators to provide mental health and wellbeing and case management services and group interventions to LGBTIQ+ people and their families within DSS’ Family Services Model of Practice.
A Recovery Support Worker is an LGBTIQ+ person with a lived experience of mental health issues who would like to help others with a similar lived experience. They will bring to the role a personal understanding of the importance of resilience and the recovery process. A Care Coordinator will support the Recovery Support Worker to successfully carry out one-on-one client case work, facilitate group peer support and develop and deliver recovery education training.
