the drum Youth Services’ City of Yarra team is recruiting a Peer Leader (0.2EFT) to support the delivery of programs and activities for young people aged 8-21 who live on the Collingwood and Richmond Public Housing Estates.

The hours of work for this role is Wednesdays 10.30am – 6.30pm, based in Collingwood with occasional requirements to work from our Carlton and North Melbourne sites. The role is contracted until 30 June 2023, with the possibility of extension dependent on funding.

The specific responsibilities of the role include:

  • Supporting the co-design, planning, delivery and evaluation of the Collingwood Youth Drop-In program for young people aged 8-15 from the Collingwood Public Housing Estate. The program runs weekly during the school term on Wednesdays between 3.30pm and 6pm
  • Supporting the co-design planning, delivery and evaluation of school holiday activities
  • Relationship building with young people and supporting their participation and positive development
  • Ensuring safety of young people at program and school holiday activities
